How do, or can, we create?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 07, 2008:
I believed, before I gained any sense of self-awareness, that creativity was something you were born with or not. I had not been granted that gift in my mind. I felt I was all logic and no imagination. So 40 years later, when all the logic had drained me of everything good, I came back to myself and began to discover my creativity. I now create by instinct and intuition. At times, especially as a Graphic Design major in college, rules and standards need to be used as guidelines but overall, it's instinctual for me.
